Description

KeyVisions™ eSite is a professional software product for building and managing web applications of all sizes: it consists of a manager and an interpreter.
KeyVisions™ eSite Manager* (see screenshot) is a productive frontend for managing webbases. A webbase is a formal description of a web application, it addresses, organization, authorization, content, navigation, and layout issues from simple web sites to multinational portals (our largest developments consist of hundreds of pages with thousands of contents).
KeyVisions™ eSite Interpreter is an IIS Active Server Component that serves webbases as Internet pages.

*KeyVisions™ eSite Manager is in English, Italian, and Spanish.

System Requirements

Software
Microsoft® Windows 2003 (32-bit editions), Microsoft® Windows Vista Business, Microsoft® Windows XP Pro, Microsoft® Windows 2000 (all editions) with Microsoft® IIS 6 or 5 and needs ASP Services activated. It has been tested with Microsoft® Access, SQL Server™, Analysis Services, Indexing Services, ADSI, Oracle®, MySQL, DB/2 and several other data sources.

Hardware
The product does not require particular hardware, a box hosting any of the operating systems above is sufficent; then again, the complexity of the hosted web application and the number of hits may warrant a better performing box: naturally, the greatest burden is on boxes providing the data services.

Hierarchical PageLinks content: menubar

Starting with version 2.0.573 the pages in PageLinks contents can be organized hierachically up to 4 levels: this hierarchical definition translates in a menubar rendering with dropdown menus.

New refresh="{ True | False } setting attribute

When trees and scrollable contents (tables, forms, lists and calendars) have refresh="True", then they are reloaded individually without complete page round trip.

Show specific tab page *tp<content id>=<page>

A specific tab page of a Tab content can now be programmatically opened by setting the querystring paramter *tp followed by the Tab content id to the desidered tab page index.

\s('...') and checkboxes

Fixed two minor inconsistencies. First, \s('...') now accepts CRLF, before it gave a syntax error; and second, two valued checkboxes still return a comma separated list of integers, however, if no checkboxes are selected an empty string is now returned (before it returned a string with a space character).

Embedded content in nodata

If the nodata="..." content setting attribute is set to a number, then it will be interpreted as a content id and will be rendered accordingly. See similar post 05/27/2007 Ver. 2.0.459

New id="..." content setting attribute

All contents are wrapped in a DIV tag, the DIV id attribute is set to "CD<content id>", now, with the id="..." content setting attribute there is a finer control.

Behavioral change method Section()

When the optional page id parameter is specified in the Section method, not only those contents that are in the specified page and section are rendered but also those in the current page section. The current page contents override eventual contents in the referenced page having the same section and sequence.
